A Rotary Friendship Exchange is a self-funded international exchange opportunity for Rotary members and their families. Taking part in an exchange is a wonderful way to make new friends and establish international service partnerships.

Rotary Friendship Exchanges are organized at the District level, with Rotarians across the district participating in the outbound and inbound exchanges.  (The Rotary Club of Halifax Harbourside is part of District 7820, which includes Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, and the French islands Saint-Pierre et Miquelon.)

Current/recent Friendship Exchange include:
  • upstate New York (Sep & Oct, 2015);
  • west Texas and New Mexico (Nov 2015 & Oct 2016);
  • New Zealand (Mar & Oct, 2016); and
  • Oregon (Jun & Sep, 2016).
Additional friendship exchanges are in the planning stages for:
  • Vermont and New Hampshire (Sep 2016 & Oct 2017);
  • Georgia (TBD); and
  • South Africa (TBD).
